Description: The following passage is talking about workday login. All faculty and staff member need to know how to view payslips, view benefits information, navigate and view your Workday Inbox and update personal information, especially emergency contacts.
This passage covers how to view payslips, view benefit selections, update your personal information including emergency contacts, view your workday inbox, how to navigate through workday and finally how to logout, to see items related to your paycheck, click the Pay worklet.
On the right you’ll see a list of items that you can view for example your pay slips, I don’t have any in the system because it is a test system, but you will see pay slips here that you can review and print, I’m going to click the back button and go back to the pay landing screen.
You’ll see on the left hand side that I could change my withholding elections, this is a test system, so this is all pretend, I’m going to click the back button to go back, you can change your payment elections which is your direct deposit.
I’m going to click the little home button to go back to the home landing page, to view items related to your benefits click the benefits worklet, on the right you’ll see items that you can view, on the left you’ll see items that you could change in the event of a life event.
For example if I click change benefits, it gives me an idea of the life events that would impact my benefit elections, I can begin this process by filling out this form and submitting it, I’m going to click the home button to go back to the home landing page.
In workday you can double click any one of these worklets to open up an area related to that subject, you can also use the good search in the top of the screen and search for people, for tasks and for reports, in the upper right hand corner if you click on the little cloud icon, you’ll get a drop down menu.
You can choose your inbox, the items that you need to take action on will appear, if I go back using the little home button to the home screen, I can also show you the related actions button, I’m going to take a look at my profile, this is a test system, this is not real information.
But you’ll notice this little icon which looks either like a Twinkie or a Lego, if you click on any one of these, you’ll get tasks, processes and information related to the item that the button appears next to, for example here’s another related Actions menu, you can see things related to that piece of content.
Finally under the menu in the upper right hand corner to logout, you click the Sign Out button, let’s take a look at the personal information worklet, on the right you’ll see items you can view, if you click more, you can see additional items.
On the left you’ll see items that you can change or update in workday, for example I could change my preferred name, please take a look in particular at contact information, personal information and especially emergency contacts.
These three areas are very similar in that it’s very simple to add information or to edit, I’m going to add an emergency contact, I will go through this form using the little pencil icon to edit various fields, add information, the red asterisked fields are the ones that are required.
I can also add another emergency contact, when I’ve done that, I need to click the submit button, because this is a test system, I’m not going to update this information, I’ll go back to the home screen, thank you for reading.
