Description: This tutorial is designed to teach you how to log on to the student Wi-Fi network after you have turned in the BYOD policy signature and internet signatures that can be found in the student handbook.
In this tutorial, I will be teaching you how to log on to the student Wi-Fi network. Before you log on to the student Wi-Fi network, you need to make sure you turn in your BYOD policy signature and your internet signatures, which will be found in student handbook. and then you’ll be able to access the student network. So make sure you turn that in prior to the school year or in the first day of school, before you can log on to the student Wi-Fi.
Once you get those forms all turned in, you will be ready to go for this purpose. I will be showing you how to log into the Wi-Fi on an iPad, the process is the same on the other tablet or laptop as well. Log into your settings, hit settings icon and select the Wi-Fi on the top left you will see the networks popping up, and you’re going to select the WCS students with the S at the end. Then a prompt will pop up for your username and password. Your username is you first name dot last name and your password is your student ID. If you want to change your password, you have to login your Office 365 account on the computer.
Then click Join, you’re going to get a notification pop-up that says a trust certificate, click Trusts, it allows you to connect to our network and you will be logged on to the network. You’ll notice it should take you back to this screen and your Wi-Fi appear on the top left, you’ll notice that it says WCS students and you’ll notice the Wi-Fi icon on the top left next to iPad, meaning you’re connected to the network and you can go ahead and browse the Internet.
