Description: The following article mainly has the topic about ymail login, which shows you how to attach a picture or multiple things to your Yahoo Email. Yahoo is a fully featured email program, it is free. You click on the little paperclip. That’s the way that any attachment works in yahoo mail.
Today we’ve got a bunch of questions about Yahoo Mail, apparently I’m not a big user of yahoo mail, I haven’t used it, in a while I switch to Gmail and use some other email programs, but yahoo is a fully featured email program, it is free.
What’s nice about Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail and all the other free email services is if you switch your internet service provider meaning if you went from cable to DSL or switched something to connect to the internet, you’d be able to take that Yahoo address and use it on cable, on DSL, Bright House, AT&T, Comcast or wherever you want to use it, you wouldn’t have to tell everybody that you changed my email address, you don’t have to migrate your address book.
Apparently they’ve changed their interface, it’s a little different and a little tricky than what people are used to, I’m going to show you how to compose an email in the newer Yahoo interface, you could do an address book but let’s cover that in a different passage.
It’s not a confused issue here, I’m going to send it to myself, that’s my country name, I’m a award-winning country music artist, I gave myself an award, so I can say award-winning, I’m going to send a picture from vacation, you always want to put a subject line in your emails because that’s primarily what people will see when they go to their inbox.
It lets them know whether it’s worthwhile opening or not, so you want to put something in here which may be a nice little letter in the body of your email, here are my pictures from wonderful vacation, I’ve got an email, this is a basic email, I am ready to send, I can click on the send button.
However, I want to send some pictures, I want to do an attachment, like almost every other one, the common symbol for attachment is the little paperclip, this new yahoo mail interface has a neat little deal where you can drag and drop your pictures.
It will open up a browsing window on your computer so that you can find the particular pictures that you want to attach and send, we went to the beach not too long ago, so I’ll attach a couple of these pictures, you can click one and then click on open.
If you want to send multiples, you can hold the ctrl button down on your keyboard and then click each one you want to send , there is a file size limitation in most of these email programs, I’m not sure what it is, it might be ten megabytes, but you can only send so many pictures in one email.
I’m going to do four, then I’m going to click open, it’s going to upload all four of those pictures to my email, I include them as attachment, you’ll be able to see the preview of each one of them, when these are all done, if you decide not to do this one, you uploaded this one by mistake, you can click on the X, it’ll delete that particular one.
If you want to start the whole process all over again, when they’re all uploaded, it will say delete all attachments, then you can run through it again, if you want to send an entire album, you probably won’t be able to do it in one single email, you’ll probably need to create several emails each with four or five attachments depending on how big your pictures are.
What’s better is if you use something like a Flickr or a tumblr or even your Facebook account, you can start an album for free on most of those services, you can also use something called Dropbox, Dropbox is a paid service but they have a free version available where you can upload all your pictures to a Dropbox folder.
You get up to 2 gigabytes for free, then you can subscribe, that gives you a lot more storage, this way you can upload your entire album at once, people can browse or download it, I’m going to send this email with my 4 attachments, it whisks away assuming there’s no error.
If I want to make sure that it’s sent, I can click on my sent items and look at my stuff, it allows me to download these pictures, I can save these pictures, somebody sends me pictures, I could save them, I send pictures to them, they could save my pictures and create their own album on their computer.
That’s how to send attachments, that’s the way that any attachment works in yahoo mail, you click on this little paperclip, this works on Gmail and Hotmail too, you could send a document, you could send a sound if you want to.
You could send all kinds of things using that attachment tool assuming it’s under the file size limitation, that’s how to send an attachment in yahoo mail, for more information, tips and other articles, visit computercareclinic.com, thanks.
